Whether you are looking for a Ski-in and Ski-out cabin, a lodge, or an apartment when you venture into interior Norway for snow-filled winter adventures, there is something for everyone.

We have put together some of our favorite destinations, and if you like what you see, why not check out our holiday cabins and join in all the festive cheer surrounded by snow-crunching bliss?

Hafjell

Enjoy a relaxing atmosphere in Hafjell Alpine Apartment

In 1994, Norway was host to the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, and many downhill ski races were held on the slopes of Hafjell. As the third-largest ski resort in Norway and an Olympic arena, it offers around 47km of slopes and several terrain parks with challenges for everyone to participate in and enjoy.

The breathtaking area is just 15km north of Lillehammer and boasts 16 ski lifts with scenic access to glistening slopes full of adventures. With most of the winter lodges and apartments within walking distance of the slopes, you have everything you need in this glorious area. Did you know that the overall drop on the mountain is 857m, and the longest run is 7.5km long? How do you fancy taking on that challenge this winter?

Experience views from the lining room and dining room in Hafjell Apartment Geitryggen

The skiing area in Hafjell is mainly on the sunny side of the mountain and is sheltered from the wind, making it the dream destination for your log cabin holiday. From the summit, you can access 300km of prepared cross-country tracks, and those who are active skiers can attempt the Kjus Run. Children’s areas can be found in the valley at the top of the Gondola, Mosetertoppen, and Gaiastova on the top of the mountain.

A perfect getaway destination for all the family.

Hemsedal

Experience a cozy evening at the luxurious Hemsedal Fyri Resort

Hemsedal is otherwise known as the Scandinavian Alps. It is one of Scandinavia's largest ski resorts with more than 50 slopes to choose from, the largest children’s ski area in Norway, and the Hallingdal mountain slopes rising to a glorious height of 1,500m. Due to this height, Hemsedal is also Scandinavia’s highest lift-served slope. Can you imagine the views?

The Hemsedal skiing area stretches to 1920m and serves all ability levels, from children and beginners to active skiers, with abundant winter snow. Those seeking endless trails will be pleased to know that the area provides 130km of prepared cross-country tracks and 80km of marked mountain trails for Nordic skiing.
